Physical Appearance: Lance is a relatively tall dude with spiky red hair. He usually wears clothes made of dark blue or black and red. Plus he has a tendancy to wear a cape. He has an air of power about him and stands tall and strong even when facing danger.

Personality: Lance has a very brave and strong personality. He rarely backs down from a challenge and often goes out of his way to punish people who are doing wrong. He may come across as stuck up and bold at first, but he is very kind and likes helping weaker trainers and people become stronger. Although he can be a little impulsive at times, he is a natural leader with a quick mind and kind heart. He is very close to his partner Dragonite, a large yellow Dragon with a slightly goofy face but amazing power.

History: Lance was born in Blackthorn City, Johto. His family is a clan of Dragon Tamers. He met his partner Dratini, a small blue serpent-like Dragon Pokemon, in the Dragon's Den in his hometown. Ever since he was younch, Lance had a special way with Pokemon, particularly Dragon types. When Lance was a teenager he won the Johto League and was allowed to be one of the Elite Four. After the Champion Blue was defeated, Lance stepped up and became Johto League Champion. He helped a boy named Ethen defeat Team Rocket when they were returning after three years of hiding.

Sample Post: The Rocket grunt's face instantly was covered with fear when Lance's Dragonite busted into the room. "You're not supposed to be here. I suggest you leave or I'll have to make you." Then, without giving him a chance to respond, Lance ordered his Dragonite to use Hyper Beam.

After he was done the police arrived. "He's all your's now officers," Lance said, his face emotionless. Then his Pokegear started beeping. It was Professor Oak saying something about a place called Hyrule and a war that was beginning...

In the manga he came from Viridian Forest, but I like it anyway congrats!

That's what it said on Bulbapedia, but since the manga is based on the games and he's from Blackthorn City in the games that's what I put. Plus it really doesn't make sense to be born in a forest.

Weeeell, in Pokemon Adventures Yellow, it said Yellow and Lance and Giavonni were born in the Viridian Forest

That's um, very odd. I haven't played a normal Pokemon game in years though, I've played the mystery dungeon games recently but not normal pokemon.

its manga, but the Elite Four's base in the old games was very near Viridian City as well

And like I said, the games are what everything else is based on, so that's what I go by, and in Gold and Silver it makes it pretty clear that he's from Blackthorn City.

yes but in Red Blue and Yellow he is from Viridian, ps: just because it says Viridian Forest it means city because they are so close

I'm pretty sure it doesn't say anywhere in Red/Green/Blue where Lance is from. In fact it really doesn't mention any background on the E4. All of their stories and backgrounds were fabricated by the manga writers to make their characters more interesting.
